Web-based Training
Welcome to Blue Care Network's e-referral Web-based training, e-referral Made Easy. This tutorial will guide you through the steps in submitting an electronic referral including topics such as:
- Accessing BCN's e-referral system
- Logging on to e-referral
- Navigating the e-referral iExchange® starting point page
- Submitting electronic referrals
- Using the e-referral search function
To assist those staff members who are less familiar with the e-referral system or may wish to complete the tutorial at their own pace, individuals may select from any of the topics found on the tutorial main menu and return to the tutorial at anytime. Those who are more familiar with the e-referral system are encouraged to check out the numerous demonstrations found under the Submitting electronic referrals topic.
Training for Primary Care Physicians:
Although this particular tutorial focuses primarily on the needs of primary care physician office staff, many of the tips, guidelines and referral demonstrations are beneficial to other providers as well. Training for Behavioral Health Providers: :
This tutorial includes guidelines, instructions, and demonstrations for submitting and viewing behavioral health authorizations on e-referral. If you have any questions regarding a behavioral health authorization request you may contact BCN Behavioral Health Provider Inquiry at 800-688-3290. For assistance with using the e-referral system contact your BCN Provider Affairs representative (see contact list at the bottom of the e-referral Behavioral Health page).
